The first of a planned series of "artistic journal entries", Day1 is one of the few drawings that I have done that exceeded the boundaries of the paper it was originally on. It began as a simple 12" wide x 9" tall portrait sketch and became the larger (10" wide x 16" tall) finished character sketch after I added a second sheet of paper.
