Artist's Comments

I often get asked how long it takes me to create one of my drawings. The answer depends on the conditions... Sometimes it takes months for an idea to gain enough strength to finally escape from my brain, sometimes an idea screams out onto the page in a matter of minutes. Drawings like this one, a simple design that didn't really start out as anything specific, are usually the fastest and easiest to create. The pencil sketch took about 10 minutes, and the inking took about 30. Scanning and cleaning up took perhaps 5 to 10 minutes longer.
